New Zealand and Australia October - November 2010

Hi I'm still looking for a travel companion for a trip to explore New Zealand for about 10 days and 4 weeks going up and down the Eastern Coast of Australia. I am 23 years old, female, and a recent college/university graduate In California U.S.A. I perfer a travel companion that is closer to my age in their 20's male or female. I have been planning to go on this month long or so adventure for quite some time. I plan on taking off sometime in mid October 2010 and and return sometime in Late November 2010. I am just looking to have a great time to get away form my boring everyday life in the U.S. I am not looking to do the typical tourist thing and stay in fancy hotels and spend tons of money. I'm on a tight budget and am looking for anyone who knows how to get around places and have fun without lots of money. Like staying at hostels, traveling by bus and train. I want to live like a resident of these countries not like a visitor.

Hey--I just saw your message..not sure if you're still going or not, but that trip sounds like it would be a blast.
I'm completely familiar with the traveling on a budget thing, and did a study abroad trip for a month last summer to Europe..also very much on a budget.

Anyway, I just joined, so I'm not quite familiar with everything here..but I'm interested in hearing more about your trip.
Oh, and I'm 23, and from Missouri..also graduating in May.

I'll be in NZ from May 15 to the end of August, and I'm looking for travel mates as well. I'm planning on visiting the South Island in May, I have to go back to Auckland before the beginning of June, as I am starting an internship there in June. I'm a 22 year old girl from France, I love roadtrips, and I really want to see the most of this country. I'm not sure if you'll be there already, or if you're arriving at the end of May, but let me know what your plans are, ok ?

Thanks for your interest, but I have to apologize I should have edited my post. I was planning on going to New Zealand in May but certain life events happened (as they always do) and I have not saved enough money for my trip yet. I don't plan on going on this trip until sometime in October to give me more time to save some more money. I am so sorry! You sound like a great person to travel with too! I hope you are able to find the travel mate that you need and have a blast exploring New Zealand and make the most out of your experience there. Good Luck in your internship as well.
